Working With Conflict

The most common approach to conflict is to hope it will go away, and most of us are reluctant to take the most effective route to resolving a dispute – speaking with the other person.

What will I learn?
In this workshop Clive combines insights from his experience as a mediator, a teacher and a journalist with current research to explore how simple conversations can head off damaging conflict and build stronger relationships at work, at home and in the community.

How will I learn it?
We will consider standard responses to conflict, with a focus on win-win collaboration, and will explore a range of practical approaches proven to support positive outcomes. You’ll leave with the knowledge of a range of easy-to-use tools and insights designed to help reduce conflict in practical situations.
